The Shinzen (friendship) Kyokai (Association) is a world-wide organization open to all Shorinjiryu practitioners regardless of dojo affiliation. It is dedicated to keeping the spirit of Shorinjiryu alive and well through seminars, newsletters, and the Annual International Shinzen Shiai, the largest strictly all-Shorinjiryu tournament in the world.
You are cordially invited to apply to join the Shinzen Kyokai. Benefits of membership include:
- Discounted admission to selected Kyokai sponsored tournaments
- A periodic newsletter with hints, articles, announcements, and points of interest
- Information about upcoming tournaments and clinics
Individual membership is inexpensive at only $20 per year, with Budo (school) membership available at $125 per year. School membership is advisable as it extends to the students.
In addition to the completed application, proof of lineage and a video of specific katas may required. Applicants/schools will be reviewed within 30 days of receipt of all information and registration fees. Applicants failing to meet the above criteria will have their application fees refunded.
